The designs are all bold, quite large and a little bit 80's inspired. Without wanting to cut them up too small and lose their retro magic, I decided on a fairly simple quilt design. I chose fabrics from my stash that worked well in framing the designs and I ended up with my "A Lot Going On" quilt.

It's a decent sized quilt (I haven't measured but guessing it's around 65" x 75"), which I quilted on my big Bernina. Just a simple meandering all-over design in a light cream colour thread.
The quilt assembly is easy to figure out, but let me know in the comments if you'd like a written tutorial.
One final picture of the "A Lot Going On" quilt, with Charlie deciding that this was a good place to sit.
Great us of those fabrics - the designs shows them off beautifully. xx
ReplyDeleteCool quilt. Love it!
ReplyDeleteThat is a fun way to put these fabrics together. A great finish.
ReplyDeleteOh gosh. I love this! So many intense designs and colors in the prints, but you've done a great job of toning it down - giving each print breathing space - with those tone-on-tone colors. And are there a few solids there too? I adore those prints! Goodness. If we had a Spotlight store here... Such a gorgeous finish! Are you using it? Or not, because it keeps you awake at night?! :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great way to showcase all those wonderful prints!
