For the past few days, it was been hot around here. Weather records are being broken and this early spring heat wave isn't meant to end until Thursday. Staying inside to keep cool, I set to work on a new project.
These fabrics are designed by Ellie Whittaker - an Aussie designer - who creates such vibrant and colourful work. This is her newest quilting cotton range which is available from spotlight.
There is a lot going on in the range, so I decided that I needed to make large, simple blocks to be able to show off the designs without losing too much. I pulled some more prints from my stash - yes more is more and got to work.
Honestly, it has been a lot of fun being able to sew without a set plan or a deadline. I'll share more soon.
Have fun. Ondrea
ReplyDeleteThat fabic certainly says "summer". Definitely a design to showcase those large prints. Looking forward to seeing the end result.
ReplyDeleteI feel like this is going to be quite a busy quilt.
ReplyDeleteThose are fun blocks - and they do show off those prints so well!!!
