I've made a some progress with my Liberty Crossroads quilt this past week.
I was aiming for nine blocks before we head away on our holiday...
... but miscounted somewhere along the line and have made ten blocks.
I thought that a 5 x 5 configuration should work well but it only covers the top of the king bed (92.5" square). To go over the sides and be a nice useable size, I may need to make it a 6 x 6 configuration, or possibly add a nice wide outer border.
Thank you for all of the lovely comments and messages regarding my initial post about the Liberty Crossroads Quilt. I had a few people over on Instagram ask for a pattern, so I may just write up a simple tutorial and post it here on the blog. It's not a hard block to work out, but newbie quilters may not be able to see a block and work out how to make it for themselves just yet.
Glad to hear you are going to do a tutorial... thanks for sharing your lovely block.... so a holiday is about to happen... how lovely...

Nice block and it makes for a great repeat pattern. Always good to have more blocks than you thought! xx
ReplyDeleteYour quilt is coming along nicely.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see a pattern for this Liberty Crossroads quilt. It is wonderful. I just found your Chunky Monkey baby quilt pattern and am going to make that. Great work.
ReplyDeleteLove your quilt. Really like the blocks and the way you have laid it out
