Happy Scrappy Monday and welcome to the next block in the Scrappiness is Happiness quilt along. Today's block is called Second Lincoln Logs block and it finishes up at 12" square.
The Scrappiness is Happiness QAL is a pattern by Lori Holt from her new book, by the same name and available from the Fat Quarter Shop.
My logs are a little bit wonky as I was rushing a to get it finished last night and wasn't pressing after the addition of each new fabric. If you make one of these blocks, my advice is to press as you go!!!!
This would be a fabulous scrappy stash busting quilt, especially if you have lots of strips in your fabric scrap basket. The strips around the central square vary between 1.5" and 2.5" in width.
These blocks make a very fun quilt - the image below is the Lincoln Log Cabin quilt by Lori Holt.
The Scrappiness is Happiness book is by Lori Holt of Bee in my Bonnet and includes 32 Scrappy Quilts to make. It's available from the Fat Quarter Shop along with a huge variety of Lori Holt designed fabrics you can use to make this or any of her quilts.
Here are a few links to the various bits and pieces:
