This morning, I decided to give my sewing room a bit of a tidy-up. I came across a tub with a bunch of blocks in various stages of completion. My churn dash SAL!
Chooky sent out a timely email this morning, reminding us to keep going with our quilts. I stopped tidying and sat down to sew up the bits and pieces I’d found. After putting them all together, I found that I had 25 blocks. Perfect for a 5 x 5 quilt.
For a little while, I toyed with the idea of adding sashing, but as this whole thing has been made solely with scraps, I know that I don’t have enough fabric scraps to create sashing, so I decided to go with it, as is.
I may still add some sort of border to make it a little larger, but for now, I’m pleased to have my churn sash quilt, nearly finished.
I love those bright colors, what size are the blocks. Happy quilting!
