I started a new crochet blanket the other day. It's being made up with lots of different bits and bobs that I had at home. Cheap yarn from the dollar shop, left-over scraps from previous projects, colours that made me question my choices...
It's growing quickly and is just made up of two rows of trebles (or DC if you're in the US) per colour. I haven't woven the ends in as yet, which I'll probably regret once I get to the end when I have that time consuming job ahead of me.
I was going to call it the "watching telly in the evenings and keeping my hands busy so that I don't fall asleep blanket" but I'll go with the Bits n Bobs blanket for now.
Looks lovely & a great name for your blanket. Hugs, xx.
ReplyDeleteI like stripe blankets and will start one soon - but I too hate weaving those ends in!!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about keeping your hands busy and staying awake in front of tv where I do my best sleeping!!!!!! Pretty blanket.
ReplyDeleteYour Bits and Bobs blanket is growing into a nice colourful one….
ReplyDeleteWhat about tying ends together and leaving a fringe on your blanket. My great aunt used to make those colorful blankets with her scrap yarns, and I always loved them more than the planned ones. Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteIt’s already beautiful!
ReplyDeleteGreat way to us up those questionable choices so they get lost in the whole...lovely and colourful...
ReplyDeleteThe colours are cheerful, happy & bright. Love it...xox
