The weather has certainly become quite cool and wintery with thoughts turning to warm blankets and hot soup. 

And really, is there anything nicer than being able to grab a warm wooly wrap to place over your shoulders when the day is done and you're sitting on the couch watching your favourite shows.

I used just under 2 Caron Latte Cakes for the wrap. It's probably a little wider than it needs to be, but I think it's better to be a little bit bigger than needed, rather than too small.

The yarn is really lovely and squishy with fluffy bits all through it. I thought it'd be a pain to work with, imagining little bits getting caught up, but it was really as simple to work as regular yarn.

The pattern is a simple V-Stitch (tr, ch, tr) into the previous rows V's. The yarn called for a size 4 hook, but knowing how tightly I seem to crochet, I used a size 6 hook to keep it all nice and loose with lovely drape.

In other news, you may notice my blog has had a bit of a refresh in layout. It had been over 3 years since I'd played with it so figured it was time to something new. I honestly am not sure I like it and I can't figure out how to change it back to how it was before. It's not working well on mobile devices and it seems the new blogger update doesn't have that 'mobile' option any longer. 

Anyways, I'm going to turn this off and head into the sewing room. We've got a new "Born to be Wild" blog hop starting this week which is hosted by Just Let Me Quilt and it should be lots of fun to see what everyone comes up with.
