I'm joining Cheryll at Gone Stitchin' for this months WOOFA Party. Looking back on it, February didn't see me doing a lot of sewing. It's the last month of summer, the kids went back to school along with all of their activities and mum is still in hospital so time has been short.
In saying this, I have finished a few things this February... and made a start on a whole bunch of new things too.
The February finishes include:
My Scrappy 1/4 Log Cabin Pillow which is sooooooo enjoyed making. This led to me starting 1/4 log cabin blocks for the RSC21 challenge.
In keeping with the pillow/cushion theme, I also finished another couple of name pillows which were custom orders. I hope Finn and Henry are very happy with their new cushions.
Go and visit Gone Stitchin' to see what everyone else has created in the February WOOFA Party, or go ahead and join in the linky fun so that we can all come over and see what you made.
Next week, I'm joining Bea for the "Dust off a Book" blog hop which will be lots of fun. I've enjoyed looking through my craft book collection and have found a project which I really wanted to make when I first got the book, but then forgot.
Funny how that happens, don't ya think? I wonder how many other projects I've wanted to make from books, but which I've forgotten...
It's excellent that you joined in our WOOFA party this month... & with some lovely finishes too. Love those cushions...& it's where I took my inspiration from -albeit few years ago- for my SoPHiE cushion. Love the colours in ALL your projects too...xox
ReplyDeleteThanks Cheryll. These cushions make such lovely gifts for little ones.
DeleteSo many beautiful projects. The cushions are awesome! I know 2 little munchkins who would love dinosaur cushions.
ReplyDeleteDinosaurs are a pretty safe bet for little boys, though I must admit that I have wayyyyyy more girlie fabrics, than boy ones in my stash.
DeleteThe first cushion is amazing, I love the colours and the quilting. That is such a happy cushion to have around. x
ReplyDeleteThanks Kay. It was such fun to make and the best part is that it's all made from scraps.
DeleteYou have done a lot, and life is busy.
ReplyDeleteI hope your mum is home soon. 🌹🔆 and easy days are ahead
Thanks Rosemary. I'm hoping she's home again soon too. It's been a really long time.
DeleteBeautiful cushions, I am sure the dinosaurs are much loved. I hope your Mum is home soon. Love the colours in your table runner.
ReplyDeleteThanks Sue. This dinosaur print is a fun one for little boys.
DeleteI'm hoping mum comes home soon too. She's been in since mid November and everything just takes soooooooo long to happen. Fingers crossed she's home in the next couple of weeks.
Beautiful finishes. I particularly love your combination hand and machine spiral quilting on the first cushion.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much. It was a lot of fun to make :)
Deletelovely finishes... you have had a good month of gorgeous makes

Thanks Fiona. It was a good month though I'm sure I'll enjoy going back into the sewing room when the weather cools down and life settles down. Hope you have a good week x
DeleteYou've done well for yourself this month! I like everything you've made, especially that circle-stitched pillow. You make me want to make one. I have to remark on those cute custom-made pillows too. I find it interesting that Henry is such a popular name now. I know several little boys named Henry here in the US, and it seems Henry is popular there too. Emma Jean Jansen's son is Henry. And I had an elderly Uncle Henry (who has since passed). Wonder if any other old names like that will resurface: Alfred, Nelson, Arthur... Sorry to hear about your mum. I hope she improves.
ReplyDeleteI love how "old" names are making a comeback too. I love the name Henry too and another lady I know had a baby yesterday and called him Henry.
DeleteMy son is Samuel which was also an 'older' name when I chose it going back 15 years ago, but it's also become quite popular recently. I wonder when Anorina will become a popular name *LOL*
Some lovely finishes there. Nice work.
ReplyDeleteThanks Karen. It's nice to look back on what we've made through the month.
DeleteOH so many enticing projects out there to play with and many forgotten as well.
ReplyDeleteYour pillows are so fun and especially your newest finish! I love it!
Thank you for stopping by. The months go by quickly with so much busy-ness that I'm thankful for these sorts of linky parties to be able to remember what I've made :)
DeleteA productive month and such pretty projects! I love the quilting on the first quilting - the first photo shows it off so well and it took me a while to realise it was actually the cushion and not a big quilt! The runner is a beauty too, and you have a great table for showing it off!
