Back in May, I shared my Hip to be Square pillow along with the free tutorial on how to use layer cake squares to make one like mine.
It was a fun project to make, and it was a good way to use up some left over layer cake squares.
I was contacted by Nancy, a member of Glendale(California) quilt guild asking if they'd be allowed to share the pattern / teach a workshop to the group, in a guild zoom call. Of course they could and I've been so pleased to see so many fun variations of this project appear on Instagram.
Here are a few pictures which have been shared on Instagram by the Glendale Quilt Guild.
It's always fun to see how a quilt (or pillow) will look in other fabrics and colours.
If you've made a Hip to be Square project, I'd love to see it. Please drop me an email or tag me on Instagram

How flattering that the quilters wanted to make your quilt/pillow! The design is certainly attractive, and a great use of layer cakes. Though I never buy precuts, this is a good design for scrappy or yardage too.
