Conquering Quilty Fears - Introduction

Do the thing you fear to do and keep on doing it… that is the quickest and surest way ever yet discovered to conquer fear. —Dale Carnegie

What are some of your quilting or sewing 'fears'? We all, most likely, have some sort of sewing technique that we may not be completely comfortable with. It could be a technique, a tricky block, or a pattern that causes us to hesitate... and then possibly even not start at all.

I thought it would be fun to work on a 'Conquering Quilty Fears' project each month. I will aim to post twice a month. First Saturday (or weekend) of the month to introduce a "scary" technique and the project I'd like to work on. Then on the last weekend of the month, I hope to share my progress, or hopefully, a finished project.

Would you like to join me? We could all practise some 'scary' sewing techniques in small achievable projects.

Leave me a comment telling me some of your quilty fears or hesitations?
Is there any type or style of block that you're wary of trying?
What is something that you've always wanted to make, but something held you back?
