One Monthly Goal - June 2019

We're back home where winter has well and truly arrived. It rained last night (for the first time in what feels like months) and the cold southerly winds sweeping straight up from Antarctica have certainly made the temperatures drop dramatically.

Cold weather make for better crafting weather, don't you think? It's lovely to crochet or hand quilt while snuggly on the couch.

This month, I hope to finish the majority of the hand quilting on my Dreamweaver Quilt. I'm probably about 1/2 way there and even though it's taking a REALLY long time, I'm enjoying the process immensely.

I have my tub of Aurifil 12 wt threads beside me in all sorts of colours and I'm adding and changing it all up as I go. Fun!

I'm also crocheting a very scrappy blanket. I'm using 2 strands of yarn as I go and it's certainly warm and snuggly. I'm using this video tutorial by Jayda InStitches.

I didn't seem to get much accomplished last month. I guess I spent more time enjoying our adventure and less time sitting down to sew. I only made a few hexagons and only crocheted a half a scarf and that was about it. This month will be different. I'm sure of it!

I'm joining up with Elm Street Quilts in the One Monthly Goal challenge for June 2019

  5. Anorina, both of your projects are so beautiful! I love those gorgeous, sunny color palettes and the big stitch quilting is perfection in the heavier weight Aurifil thread. I just recently found a shop near me that carries those heavier weight threads for hand stitched embellishment and I'm looking forward to incorporating them into a project soon! Good luck with your June goals, and stay snuggly warm under your quilt and your blanket!
