It's my turn on the Vintage Christmas Quilt A Long, hosted by the Fat Quarter Shop. Vintage Christmas is the gorgeous new book by Lori Holt and published by It's Sew Emma and the Fat Quarter Shop.
This week, I created the Merry Mug blocks. I really loved this design, so decided that I'd make two of the 6" blocks, at once. As always, the step by step pictures and instructions are spot-on.
The centre star was a little bit fiddly, but I just had to remember to follow the pattern (which includes the pressing instructions and it all came together perfectly.
I added a 1" border in the same background white fabric and then quilted and bound these little blocks. Together with a festive mug filled with chocolates, they're going to make perfect little gifts for my daughter's teachers at the end of the school year.
