CROCHET: Moss Stitch Baby Blanket

I started a new crochet project for a baby. I just couldn't help it. I finished my granny stripe blanket and then I made the Spring Shawl, so my fingers were itching to start something new.

A friend shared a picture of a lovely baby blanket she's crocheting in blues and greys. I loved the look of it so much, that before I knew it, I was watching the tutorial on YouTube and starting one myself.

I wasn't sure which yarn to use but finally decided on this lovely squishy USA Style Value Yarn from Spotlight. I had a few colours in my stash already but decided I needed a few more colours to work with the ones I already had available.

Best of all, these 200g balls were on sale last weekend for only $4. I got a couple of extras, just because. Bargain!

This little blanket is worked in a moss stitch - 2 rows and then I change colour. It's quite a dense stitch, so it'll be lovely and warm and will keep the bub snug in his pram - well... at least that's how I'm envisioning it'll be used.

    2. Thanks Kate.

Yes it's a moss stitch blanket. I just searched YouTube and found lots of videos. It's quite a simple stitch (SC x Ch1)
