Table Toppers – Quilted Projects from Fons & Porter is a gorgeous new book, published by Martingale.
I love to make table toppers. They’re a great size project for practising and perfecting different skills. They brighten up a coffee or dining table and they really do make fantastic gifts. With Christmas not far away, I have a few of these little lovelies earmarked.
Table Toppers by Fons & Porter includes 12 table topper patterns by some well known designers including Jodie Davis, Marianne Fons and Sandy Gervais (just to name a few).
As with any book by Fons & Porter, all of the patterns have excellent instructions and images to assist the sewist in re-creating these beautiful projects. The Sew-Easy lessons will guide the sewist through any project-specific special techniques.
The 12 designs in this publication are a fantastic way to try out a new skill, such as foundation piecing, wool appliqué and machine appliqué.
The first project which I plan on tackling is this fun and festive Christmas table topper by Sue Marsh.
O Christmas Tree
Bluebird of Happiness
Candy Flowers
If you love creating table toppers, this is a perfect addition to your craft book library. If you know someone who loves to try new skills and create small projects, perhaps this is something they would love for Christmas.
Table Toppers : Quilted Projects by Fons & Porter is available from the Martingale Shop.
