It’s the 25th of July, which has been dubbed as Christmas in July here in Australia. Though it’s not as cold here as it does get in the Northern Hemisphere, once the sun goes down, it does get rather chilly.
I admit that I don’t decorate my home is Christmassy things (in July), but I do love to sew Christmassy things. I participated in the Christmas in July swap organised by Cheryll from Gone Stitchin’.
We had a couple of months to make some handmade gifts for our secret partners and today is opening day. Yay!
My secret parcel arrived last week and I’ve been very restrained in not opening it. I did put it up high so I wouldn’t see it and be tempted.
My partner was Christine from Macdonald’s Patch and she spoiled me with these beautiful handmade goodies.
The stitched wall hanging is super cute and I look forward to finding a special place to hang it in the new house at Christmas time. I love the tree decorations.
Absolutely love them! Amelia, who helped me open the parcels, declared that one was for me and one was for her to hang on the tree. She liked them both and couldn’t decide which she’d prefer to hang.
I also received the Santa inspired apron and tea towel set. Sam decided he could wear the apron when we make Christmas lunch together. Oh that boy. Definite chef… or his preferred option, food critic.
Christine also sent some lovely gifts for the kids. Festive Christmas stencils which Amelia, my little Crafterella, has already been playing with.
Thank you Christine. We love everything! And a big thanks to Cheryll for organising this (and many other) fun swaps.
