I made a quilt. Well, actually, I made 2 quilts. Both exactly the same (except for the backing fabrics).
These quilts are going to a couple of new baby cousins overseas, which I haven’t met -yet. My parents are going back to their homeland for a visit and will take these with them. Perhaps, one day I’ll take hubby and the kids over to visit where my family comes from.
The fabric is the cutest. Little dinosaurs in bright bold colours – perfect for a baby/toddler to love and snuggle.
This dinosaur fabric range is new at Spotlight. I may pop in and buy some more for my stash. It’s perfect for baby boys and in all honesty, I struggle to find baby boy fabrics which I like. It’s sashed in white Kona Cotton and the bordered in a white & green dot fabric.
I quilted it in an all over meandering loopy pattern. This is my favourite quilting pattern. It’s fun to do, free and I find it very relaxing.
Feathers scare me – one day I’ll try to quilt feathers.
One day.
When I pluck up the courage.
Do you have a favourite quilting pattern?
Beautiful. I'm sure your new baby cousins will love them

ReplyDeleteThanks Shez. I just couldn't resist them.
DeleteMy favourite quilting pattern would be any one that someone else does on my quilt for me. It's an art of mystery to me so far but hopefully one day. Very cute quilt! xx
ReplyDeleteLOL - for me, quilting is the best part!
DeleteGorgeous fabric. I saw it advertised in the latest Spotlight catalogue. I think I need some :) Quilting pattern? I haven't progressed beyond in the ditch.
ReplyDeleteI spotted your clever pun Anorina......"quilt FEATHERS"...."PLUCK up the courage" :)
LOL - I wondered if anyone would mention it :-)

ReplyDeletePozdrawiam!
This is delightful!
ReplyDeleteI have bought some wave like fabric to make a quilt cover for my grandsons cot bed quilt and this has given me the idea to use blocks with sea creatures in them, like you have dinos on this.
The effect is really striking so thanks for the inspiration!
Where overseaas are your folks from then?
