After waiting, for what seemed like agessssss, Disney on Ice presents Let’s Celebrate, has finally arrived in town.
We got everyone beautified after school and headed out for a pre-show dinner. Normally, when it’s hubby and I going to a show, dinner is a great way to start an evening out, but with the kids, it’s more about logistics… and chicken nuggets.
We decided on dinner at the Illawarra Brewery (which is right beside the venue). If you’re a local or in the area, I really recommend this place as a great place for family dining.
After everyone was fed and watered, we made our way to the entertainment centre and found our seats.
From the moment the lights dimmed and the show began, we were enthralled. I’m a sucker for anything Disney… and my children are too.
Look at that concentration!
Disney on Ice presents Let’s Celebrate is all about celebrations… birthdays, love, holidays… you get the picture. This action-packed, all-new show features a magical montage of celebrations and is set to a blend of contemporary music and favourite Disney songs.
Now I can’t tell you too much about the show, because I don’t want to ruin the surprise but I will say that if you have the opportunity, take your kids along and experience the magic of Disney.
Yes, this is fire, on the ice. Too cool!!
I have seen many Disney shows in my time, but I can say with total conviction, that this one is my absolute favourite. Maybe it has something to do with the romance of the Princesses and their Princes on the ice…

I have been to Disney on Ice once - in 2002 when DD was 16; she and I both loved it! We can still occasionally be heard to sing: "I don't know but I've been told, marching on ice is mighty cold" sung by the toy soldiers from Toy Story. Unfortunately, the grandsons are too young to take yet - they can't sit still for one minute!
