I have a wonderful sister in law. Her name is Karen. She makes the best brownies – IN THE WORLD!
Her brother, my husband, has managed to get his hands on a copy of the Decadent Chocolate Brownie recipe.
Last week, in a fit of domesticity, hubby made a batch… Soft in the centre, and crunchy on top.
They were goooood. So very very gooooooooooood.
For all those playing at home, here is the recipe for Karen’s Decadent Chocolate Brownies.
Ingredients:
225g butter (salted or unsalted – whatever you have available)
225g dark chocolate
3 eggs
250g caster sugar
175g plain flour
175g self raising flour
White chocolate chips
Method:
Melt butter and chocolate over a low heat
Beat the eggs and sugar in separate bowl until the mixture is light (in colour) and thick.
Fold mixtures together.
Sift the flours and fold into the mixture along with the white chocolate chips.
Pour mixture into a lined slice tin
Bake at 180 degrees celcius for approximately 15 minutes (time may vary)
The baking time will depend on the thickness of the mix in your baking tin.
The trick is to get it when it has just cooked through, but before it begins to rise.
It should be solid but slightly undercooked in the centre (gooey).
It is easier to slice up once it has cooled… but if you’re like us, cut it while it’s hot and enjoy!
I love a good brownie and yours looks absolutely delicious! I would so love to try some.
