AFTER CLEO is the wonderful follow up to Helen Brown’s international bestseller CLEO, which captured the hearts of readers throughout the world with its heart-rending account of the death of Helen’s young son, Sam, and the subsequent arrival of a small black kitten into Helen’s household, which eventually brought healing to her grieving family.
AFTER CLEO is an equally captivating account of another turbulent period in Helen’s life. It is a warm, wise and often funny book about Helen’s response to a life-threatening illness, the sometimes perilous relationship between mothers and daughters, and a crazy but much loved cat called Jonah.

ReplyDeleteI'm a nut for reading and have 4 books on the go at the moment, one by the bed, one in the kitchen, one in my work bag for the bus and another I started this week while we were on a short getaway. Had to go the op shop to buy a book (Our Game, by John Le Carre) - I can't believe I forgot to take one with me! (But I remembered my hand-sewing!)

ReplyDeleteJust finished the 'Fifty Shades of Grey' Trilogy by E.L James.
ReplyDeleteWell I'm feeling quite high brow at the moment reading Henry and June by Anais Nin. It was given to me by a friend who was outraged I had never read it! Suitably chastised I have started it, I can't say I'm enourmed. And I cant just leave it lying around open while the kids are around cos it's quite rude!
ReplyDeleteI have started reading Game of Thrones by George RR Martin. Have seen season 1 and am watching season 2 on showcase. These are truly amazing books in my favourite fantasy scifi style.
ReplyDeleteThought I might have missed this, that would have been awful! I am reading Home Improvement - The Undead Edition by various authors, edited Charlaine Harris. It's mainly the new Sookie Stackhouse short story I was wanting to read but love the weirdness & humour of most of the stories too. Tracee xx
ReplyDelete"A dream of something more" by Jane Carter, an Australian book set in Sydney, haven't read mucj yet but it seems good so far!
