I know – it’s an odd title for a blog post. But it’s how my day is progressing. I have a nasty cold (or maybe it’s the flu) and as a result have lost my voice.
Not only am I feeling rotten, I can’t ring anyone to have a whinge to. Yuck!
Mr Man is away at work until tomorrow afternoon, so my 6 year old is in charge of answering the phone and doing all of the talking.
Even though my voice isn’t working, I have been doing a little sewing. For now it’s secret squirrel stuff, but you’ll see it in it’s entirety by next weekend.
I’m enamoured with raw edge applique. I know that I love it… and then I don’t do it for a while. I come back to it and am in love again.
What do you re-fall in love with, every time you do it?
Keep it clean!!

If you can spare a few minutes please vote for Samelia's Mum and help me get to BlogHer in NYC.
YOga! I don't want to go because I'm too busy but once I get into a pose and make the mind/body connection I remember how much I love it!
ReplyDeleteOh I hope you feel better soon. I find it difficult looking after the kids when hubby away and not feeling well. I love the look of raw edge appliqué and have it on my list of things to try. I assume that you have gone round the appliqué two to three times on your machine? Rather than some fancy (double) machine stitch? I love scrap booking when I get back into it. Am doing some digital scrap booking at the moment which I also love and enjoy mixing traditional and digital. Can't wait ti see photos of your project next weekend!
ReplyDeleteI love hand piecing and wonder why I don't do it more often. Hope you get to feeling better real soon!! I did go cast my vote for you. Good Luck !!
ReplyDeleteYour raw edge is so neat and consistent.... no wonder you love it.... hope you feel better soon...

ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon!
ReplyDeleteI re-fall in love with needle turn applique. I don't do it often, because it is so time-consuming.
