While you’re reading this, I will be at DPCON12.
What is DPCON12 I hear you ask? The technical definition is the Digital Parents Conference 2012. It is being held in Melbourne this year.
The non-technical definition?
A big group of mummy (and some dad) bloggers will descend from all across Australia, to the Sebel at Albert Park in Melbourne.
Albert Park is the location of the Formula One GP (which was held a couple of weeks ago). I don’t know about everyone else, but I plan on attempting a hot lap around the course - in my mum-mobile.
I missed the conference last year.
And I regretted it - BIG TIME! I watched the twitter stream and was soooo jealous. I vowed to be at the next conference. If you wish to follow the shenanigans, the twitter hashtag for this year is #dpcon12
I will be meeting fellow bloggers, listening to some fantastic speakers and pretty much schmoozing with other mums.
Mums who will be heady (and slightly loopy) with the fact that they're kid-free and talking about blogging, all-day long!!!
No doubt I will come back home with lots to share and stories to tell.
The next big event I’d love to attend is the Aussie Sewing Summit which a few ladies have been talking about on twitter. It has the super fun hashtag of #ASS. Look it up on twitter.
Then there is of course the Australasian Quilt Convention in Melbourne…
… and then the Quilt & Craft Fair in Sydney… and another blog event in June called Blogopolis... but more about all of these later.

Do you have any big events coming soon, that you’re super excited about?
I've made it into the Kidspot Top 50 Bloggers 2012.
If you can spare a few minutes please vote for Samelia's Mum and help me get to BlogHer in NYC.
I hope to be going to the Australasian Quilt Convention in Melbourne… :o)
