If you follow me on Twitter or Flickr, you may have seen some sneaky peeks of my liquorice all-sort in progress.
Get your sunglasses out because here it is. Finished.

The hand quilting took a lot longer than anticipated. Perhaps it’s because I decided to quilt each and every strip… and in most strips, between 2 – 5 rows of straight line quilting.
For the hand quilting, I used perle 8 cotton in a light grey / silvery colour.
I’m super pleased with the result. I love running my hand over the cushion top. The texture is amazing.
I was going with a solid black of the back, but found this fabulous spotty fabric in my stash. Don’t you love it when you find things you forgot you’d purchased ;-)

I think this style of cushion would look fantastic in black/white with perhaps one other colour like yellow or lime green.
