I like the spots but it also depends on if the block is going to be used on it's own for something or if it will be surrounded by other blocks, in a quilt for example, because the backing would have to suit that too.

I think the solids look better. Your other fabrics already have a bunch of things going on.

Well, I like the spots, but then again, I would probably alternate spots and solids if the applique is going to be put on separate square backgrounds.

I feel your pain! I went to bed last night at 5:30 and did not wake up till 6 this morning! I'm not a blue fan, but I like the spots better! Oh and love the 'flower'!! cute!!
