My kids have the flu and have kindly passed it on to me. They're super generous aren't they?
As a result my brain is fuzzy and my ability to decide anything, at all, has gone down the drain...
Help me decide on my block background - spots or solid?
I'm kind of leaning towards the spots... But maybe the solid works better... Argh. Help!
Which do you think works better?
I like the spots but it also depends on if the block is going to be used on it's own for something or if it will be surrounded by other blocks, in a quilt for example, because the backing would have to suit that too.
ReplyDeleteCheers,
Robyn
I think both would be great, but if your seeing spots go with spots....grin.....feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteDEfinately the spots from a spotty kinda girl.
ReplyDeleteI like the solids
ReplyDeletehope you are feeling better real soon ;-)
I think the solids look better. Your other fabrics already have a bunch of things going on.
ReplyDeleteMy kids have been generous with their germs lately too. We are lucky moms! At least you are finding time to do something productive!
even though i do love spots i think the solid background works better. Hope you feel better soon. I've had the flu for a week & 1/2 now. :( Hugs,
ReplyDeleteBoth are good, but I like the solid best.
ReplyDeletehi i would use the sloids if it was me for all the reason the other guys said, good luck and hope you are feeling better soon.
ReplyDeleteWell, I like the spots, but then again, I would probably alternate spots and solids if the applique is going to be put on separate square backgrounds.
ReplyDeleteReally like the spots. Hope you're feeling better real soon!
ReplyDeleteI think I like the solid better.
ReplyDeleteOh I don't know, the spots looks really good too !
If you have more than one, you could alternate the solid and the spots ?
I know, it doesn't help !
I like the solids!
ReplyDeleteHope you all feel better soon - we are fighting off the flu here too.
ReplyDeleteI am leaning towards the spots.
While I love the spots I think the solid works for the background here since the other fabrics are pretty busy.
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon!
I think the solid as it isn't so busy.
ReplyDeleteI love what the solid does.
ReplyDeleteBoth are good but I like the spots even though it looks like the solids are ahead...haha
ReplyDeleteNot to add to the confusion - but my eye was more drawn to the one on the solid blue :)
ReplyDeleteI like the idea of mixing the two backgrounds. The solids looks flat to me, but still pretty.
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteI would go for the spots!
Both are good, but I like the spots.
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon.
I prefer the solid background. For me, the spots are too much of a muchness. Just sayin'.
ReplyDeleteBoth are good, but I prefer the spots. Hope you are feeling better.
ReplyDeleteOh I like both but my fav would be the solid...since I would want my fan to be the focus....Merry Christmas
ReplyDeleteI hope your'e feeling better soon. Both are nice but I prefer the solid.
ReplyDeleteThe spots for me......
ReplyDeleteI would use either. If I used the solid I would use a dense quilting pattern to showcase the plate. Get better soon. x
ReplyDeleteI feel your pain! I went to bed last night at 5:30 and did not wake up till 6 this morning! I'm not a blue fan, but I like the spots better! Oh and love the 'flower'!! cute!!
ReplyDeleteDefinitely the solid, though it was a tough choice. And I understand your germie pain. My little Sunshine has been sick since Saturday night and it has been a rough road. Feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteDefinitely the SPOTS.
ReplyDeletesolids!
ReplyDeleteSpots! No question.
ReplyDeleteSpots!!
ReplyDeleteSolid looks better!
ReplyDeleteHope you feel better soon.
ReplyDeleteI like the solid background. I think the spots make it look a little too busy.
Definitely the spots.
ReplyDeleteThe solid showcases the beautiful work of the dresden plate and really makes it pop. Spots just blend all the work together. I'm just sayin'. . . .
ReplyDeleteSpots. :)
ReplyDeleteGet well soon.
Solids. Definitely. Shows off your dresden better.
ReplyDeleteSo many different opinions! I guess this hasn't helped at all really has it?
Hope you get better soon,
Claire from HandmadebyClaireBear.com
