I've been busy sewing today, making this for my sons kinder teacher. I plan on finding a nice frame for it, but if I can't find a suitable frame, I'll make it into a wall hanging.
I was super pleased with the appliqué and especially the quilting - except for one thing.
Can you see what I've done wrong?

Yes it seems that I'm living in the past.
How annoying!
He he, look who is stuck in a time warp. I love this design and think it would make a lovely bag panel too.
ReplyDeleteYou are brilliant for making something like this for a teacher to treasure and remember your child for many years.
Opps, you will write out 20 times the year is ...... x
ReplyDeleteOh no! This year has gone fast LOL
ReplyDeleteWhat a great gift for the kindy teacher!
Wow, it's gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI didn't pick up your error, even though that is the first thing I thought you'd done wrong, I still didn't click. I'm in that time warp with you I think!
Ooops! It is lovely apart from one little number.
ReplyDeleteLucky teacher, your work is fantastic but you probably got the date wrong?
ReplyDeleteWhat a lucky teacher, your wall hanging is stunning, but isn't it 2011.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness!! I am a teacher and I would sooooo love this...even with a 10 rather than an 11!! Actually, that would kind of 'fit' me. I teach vocal music and am noted for being more creative than organized. Ha!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great gift it came out beautiful - it is an easy fix.
ReplyDeleteIt is lovely, Anorina. How annoying though, I tend to do things like that, must be wishing to go back a year?lol.
ReplyDeleteOh No??Aren't we still in 2010?:) A lovely present.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful gift for your son's teacher.
ReplyDeleteGood thing you caught the oops before it was gifted. It won't take long to fix.
Well, this was an easier mistake to fix than mine was-at least I think. http://michjeff-quiltersparadise.blogspot.com/2011_06_01_archive.html
