Autumn is my most favourite season. The cooler days and fresh evenings are just lovely after a long hot summer. Spring has just arrived here in the southern hemisphere, so I still have a little while to wait for autumn (or fall as my American friends call it), but I didn't hesitate in joining the 'Hello Fall Blog Hop' hosted by Carla over Creatin' in the Sticks.
I haven't created a new project for his hop (I did start one, but wasn't "feeling" it) so thought I'd highlight a few past projects which I love to decorate my home with during the autumnal season.
I love to hang my "Crisp in the Fall" wall quilt up in the family room. I made this one a few years ago to be published in a magazine and offered the free pattern here on the blog. You can download and create your own Crisp in the Fall wall quilt right here.
Another autumnal project which I previously shared on the blog is my "Cider Sleeve" pattern. I always associate apples with autumn as the picking season runs from late summer through Autumn and into the start of winter (well, here in Australia anyways).
On my tables, I generally swap between table runners and I seem to have different ones in all different colours and designs.
My dining is long and I like to have my Whip it Up, Quick! table runner as it's a good length. The first version I made was in blues but the second version I made is in golden tones of coral, orange and red.
My free Whip it Up, Quick! Table runner pattern is available here.
I usually swap it with my Layers of Charm table runner which is another long one, and a good size for my dining table. It's made up with more orange autumnal warm tones.
I've actually made this 'Layer of Charm' table runner twice too. The other version is by Lori Holt and made with great warm toned fabrics too. Have I mentioned that I love autumn?

Love your Crisp fall wall hanging, and all of your table runners are gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteWhat great projects. All of the runners are perfect and the colors for fall/autumn are great. Your tree wall-hanging is so sweet. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteGreat looking fall projects. I especially love the tree!
ReplyDeleteIt's fun seeing all the table runners you've made. Very impressive! But, you have a nice large table (seating for eight, right?) so that justifies every one of them. Our table seats four - six in a pinch - so nothing long nor elaborate is needed. Your tree design is beautiful! I love autumn too, but here in Florida, nothing changes. It's still very hot, and palms are still green!
