We had a busy day at the Sydney Royal Easter Show. We ate sausages on sticks, watched show dogs and the wood chopping events. I love watching the wood chopping. We cheered and whoopeed and clapped with gusto.
The sausage on a stick (AKA Dagwood Dog) is a tradition |
We saw beautiful quilts, artwork, farmyard animals, flowers and crochet on display.
The dahlias were absolutely stunning. The growers of these flowers must have the greenest of thumbs.

We watched sheep judging with interest and noticed that the farmers have a certain "style". Stripe or chequered shirt with cream jeans and brown boots. There were some blue jeans, but mostly cream.
We saw the regional displays in the Woolworths Dome and tackled the show bag pavilion.
We finished off the day with some rides in the kid zone.
What a day! The weather was kind to us this year. It was lovely and cool and we even had a little bit of drizzle to keep everyone cool.

Thank you for sharing the Easter show. It put a smile on my face.
ReplyDeleteYour post was fantastic with great photos and written with the enjoyment you all did have! My favorite events at our fair is the quilts, the green house with flowers, herbs and vegetables. Plus, seeing the kids displaying their animals. Thank you for sharing and have a great day!
