Antique Ribbon Table Runner

You know when something looks really tricky, and you procrastinate about starting it? And then you get around to doing it and you realize that you were just being silly, and it’s much easier than you’d imagine? Well, that’s what this Antique Ribbon Table Runner was for me.

I was invited to participate in the #AntiqueRibbon blog hop by the Fat Quarter Shop. Being a sucker for a challenge, I said YES – of course!

This weave border does look a little bit tricky, but it really isn’t. Kimberley shares the tutorial on her YouTube channel and once you see how she does it you’ll have a light bulb moment.

The pattern is just perfect for a large dining table. I decided to go smaller and made a little runner for my coffee table. I created my Antique Ribbon Table Runner with Flower Suger by Lecien Fabrics. Oh my goodness I love this range. I love the colours. I love the prints. I love the fact that you can mix and match different seasons of Flower Sugar and they all just work so beautifully together.
