Christmas is right around the corner. For me, this will be the year of Handmade Christmas. I’m going to have some fun making and sharing ideas, recipes, tutorials on creating a Handmade Christmas.
Here in the Southern Hemisphere, snowmen and fireplaces are completely out of season. I hope to create some relevant themed items for us… but in saying this, I may still include a snowman or two (they’re so cute!)

I love the idea of gifting food items. In the past, I’ve made sugar cookies, cakes and sweet nuts to give friends and neighbours. Today, I’m sharing a fun idea which is perfect to give to work colleagues, or perhaps to share at a Christmas BBQ or weekend drinks.
Nuts & Bolts – Recipe
3 cups Kellogs Nutrigrain
2 cups of mixed nuts
1/2 pack of French onion soup mix
1 Tbsp. curry powder
1/3 cup of sunflower or canola oil (a light oil)
Preheat the oven to 170 degrees.
Place all of the ingredients in a bowl and mix through until everything is coated and glossy.
Place a sheet of baking paper on a tray and spread out the nut mixture.
Bake for 15 minutes, turning every 5 minutes to ensure an even colour.
Let the nut mixture cool completely before storing in an air tight container.
Print up a label and tie a pretty bow, and this jar is ready for gifting to a friend at Christmas.
What are some yummy recipes which you like to give friends or family at Christmas time?
This sounds delicious. Thank you.
