Introducing Sugar Stars. I made this quilt earlier in the year, but was only able to share little sneaky peaks. It’s now published in Love Sewing Australia, so I’m happy to be able to share more pictures. Yay!
Taking a decent photo in the summer sunshine was a little tricky. Can you see that clearing, just over the back fence. We often see wallabies hanging out there, munching on the grass. One day, I will have my camera ready for a good photo.
And here is Sugar Stars, on the outdoor table, staying cool under the patio on a hot summer day. Can you see the sprinkler in the background? I’m not sure why it was on, seeing as the grass was so long. Probably so that the kids could run through it to stay cool.
This is one of my absolutely favourite quilts. The fabric is Flower Sugar by Lecien and it just pops with the white solid. I only have a few little scraps left, but I am determined to use them all up in as many projects as possible.
Sugar Stars is a cover girl. Here she is,held up by the model (that’s not me) of the cover of the first issue of Love Sewing Australia.
