I know that it’s only a week before Christmas and that thinking beyond this day is difficult… but with the Love Day only about 7 weeks away, how would you like to join me in a Valentine’s Day Swap?
The idea is to make something “love” related for your partner, sometime in January and then send it out on the 1st of February (to be sure it arrives at their house by Valentine’s Day).
The swap item can be anything handmade that relates to V Day… hearts or flowers on mini quilts, table runners, pincushions, mug rugs, pillows, coasters… the choice is yours, so long as it’s made with love and is about love.
Would you like to join in the fun?
Sign up is below and it will remain open until the 28th of December 2013.
It will be a blind swap, so your partner won’t know that you’re making something special, just for them.
Create a board on Pinterest called Valentine’s Day and pin some ideas of things you might like to make or receive. I’ve started mine here:
http://www.pinterest.com/SameliasMum
Partners details will be sent out on around the 30th of December which means that you have the whole of January 2014 to stitch and sew and applique and quilt and crochet and felt and and and…….
I’d love it if you could share the details of this swap with your friends. Feel free to copy and share the Valentine’s Day Swap image (above) if you blog about it or share it on your facebook page, instagram etc…
The hashtag for this swap will be #ValentinesDaySwap2014

ReplyDeleteI am thinking the same thing too!
ReplyDeleteI've signed up! I love swaps!
ReplyDeleteAt least I think it went through...After filling out the form and submitting, it went blank, so please let me know if I need to redo it. I'd really like to be a part of this swap. My email address is GinasCustomCreations@yahoo.com. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteSounds like a great swap. Must sign up.
ReplyDeleteIt sounds lovely Anorina, but I really don't want to think about V-day this year. Not my favourite holiday, at all really. I'll be burying myself in my uni work and sewing in the lead up to the day :( ... But it'll be nice to see the creations everyone else has made in it :)
ReplyDeleteLoved the idea...have signed up. Am following you on Pinterest too...I participated in 2 swaps with RoseandOdin and she made a contributory board for the participants so that each can pin into the board and each can draw inspiration from what others are pinning on the subject(into the board).
ReplyDeleteHappy to have found your blog and pinterest boards :)
regards
Sonalee
