Well where do i start, she is the most amazing person I know, i look up to her so much and wish that i could be just a little bit like her! the best thing about Her is that no matter what mood i am in she is able to cheer me up, or keep me happy or just go with the flow!!!

ReplyDeleteSecond I am a follower! And finally... my best friend is called Isabel and is a very strong powerfull woman who has some unique way of showing her love and support. She is not the kind of person that touches or hugs, but she is always there for me and I know that we can be days/weeks without talking but if need her she is right at my door!
I am a follower. My best friend is a wonderful person. I have just spent the day at her place. We quilted and went out for a yummy lunch. When ever I spend time with her I come away with a smile on my heart.

I have a number of very good friends but my best friend is the person who I can talk to about anything, who has been there for me through everything and is the person who bought me (HOMEMADE!!!!) sushi after the birth of my second child - so an absolute angel!!!

He is always there for me during the day with a happy tweet, he anticipates my every need, and he even buys me chocolate ice cream when I need it. ReplyDeleteI don't know that I have a 'best' friend in that sense of the word, but I have a couple really close friends.
Donna and I met at Bible School. She's been a close friend to me for over 15 years! She currently lives in Cameroon, West Africa, so I don't see her very often...but we can pick up right where we left off. I do miss chatting with her, having a cup of coffee, crying together, giving each other a big hug when we need it....yes, she's definitely a friend I love!

My best friend...sounds corny, but it really is my DH! :-) We share so many interests and think along the same lines (most of the time). Most importantly, we enjoy spending time with each other no matter what we are doing.

ReplyDeleteMy best friend in back home in Denmark, we grew up together pretty much, danced danish folk dance together since we were 6, she's one year younger than me, we went to the same school. she went to my wedding- couldn't go to hers, she just had a baby in the summer- after trying to get pregnant for several years, ended up being a c section that tore! now she got diagnosed with breastcancer and is going thru chemo/ radiation or has been, I think she has a month left. She's a TOUGH woman, have had a lot of heartship in her life, wish I could be closer to her and just drop by once in a while, but I'm over here.

ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday!! My BF lives two hours away. We have known each other...forever. We went to church together as little kids and became very best of friends in 7th grade. She had been my rock. She dropped everything when My Mother died and spent a whole week with me. And a few weeks ago (as I am going through a rough patch) she came up just to spend a weekend with me. She slept on my couch and we talked and played cards and laughed. Her faith in me (and the lord) is very strong and she always knows how to help my ailing soul even if we have not seen each other in months. Oh, my Becky is my guide and I love her as a family member!

We both married, and live different states. Our childhood was beautiful , and our teen age years were full of good memories. Besides my husband, my best friend happens to be a male co-worker. I've found it's much easier to be friends with a guy because it removes all the female drama.

ReplyDeleteI met my best friend John in second grade (we are 34 and 36 now) when he hit me in the head with a safety swing, and I promptly told on him. Since then we have moved cross country for each other, talk almost every day, and still laugh hysterically over the same things that made us laugh when we were teenagers.
We grew up together, went grunge together, flunked out of college together (I got back in later, I graduate law school in May, just goes to show people can change), got our crap together together, he even lived with me and my partner Hayden for 8 out of the 11 years we have been married. I joke he is my other "other half." I can't imagine life without him.

My best friend Pat, is someone I met at work about 30 years ago. We became grandmothers just one year apart, we have shared a lot of happiness and sorrows in our lives, Pat lost her husband 7 years ago, then she lost her DM and we lost DMIL who were both in the same nursing home. :( We talk on the phone at least once a week and regularly go to lunch or the movies. I can tell her absolutely anything in confidence and she knows she can do likewise with me. Always someone to listen, which is really important in a friendship, of course we both have other friends, but she is my Best friend. :)

I've been following you for ages. I don't see my best friend often but she's the one who gives me a card for my birthday, on my birthday, that has nothing to do with Christmas and Christmas is not mentioned in the card either as my birthday is Christmas Eve. Sometimes it's the little things that mean the most and that's what best friends know about :).

One of the things I love in him as a friend is that he will always tell me the truth & give an opinion I need to hear rather than politely what is nice to hear. We all need someone like that. She comes to visit twice a year and the days just fly by between all the laughing, talking and sewing. She is going through personal hardship right now and it breaks my heart for her. My best friend and I are so close we are often mistaken for sisters (which we encourage haha). We were destined to be friends. Being born within 10 days of each other, our mothers were signed up for the same mothers group which the hospital organised for new mums. Unfortunately her mother wasn't able to attend and so we didn't meet until pre-school when we were 6 years old and have been best buds ever since. We've been through good times and tough times (like me moving interstate) but we always make it through and continue to be best friends forever!!
My best friend is my husband.. I know that's cliche and very un-sexy but what can I say? He's the person with whom I share all the things that matter.. the one I turn to when I need comfort and the one I can't wait to tell when I have exciting news (like when I win that charm pack!)..

Well Happy Birthday to you. Hope you have many more to come. My best friend just came in to my life 7 months ago. I forgot what it was like to have a girlfriend to go do things with. I have my husband of 35 years who is my bff also, but to have a girlfriend around to listen to and do things with is so much FUN! I am thankful we are friend.

ReplyDeleteMy best friend lives in Texas so we don't get the chance to hang out any more. We use to get together once a month just for a girls night out. Now we chat about grandkids and life via the phone or computer!!

ReplyDeleteMy best friend is absolutely the bestest friend in the world. We've known each other for 31 years, and it doesn't seem that long. We get together every couple of weeks and shop for a couple of hours. It's a dangerous thing. We both spend too much. She's always been so up for me that I've started calling her in the morning instead of her waking up to an alarm clock.

ReplyDeleteI met my best friend when I was 7. She had no mum so I took her home with me and she pretty much stayed to tea every day from then on until we were teenagers. We learned to use a sewing machine when we were 8 and designed clothes for our dolls. I was there when she met her now husband and although we live at opposite ends of the UK we still consider ourselves 'best friends'. We are now 60! I hope you have a great birthday.

ReplyDeleteMy "Best Friend" was great when she lived nearby, we had our babies in the same years. So we had so much in common at the same time.We were always there for each other when days got too much and when we needed a shoulder to cry on. But so sadly she moved away and I missed her so much. We still keep in touch, but it's not the same though. Now I have a new partner for about 9 years and I think he is now my "Best Friend", but when I see my original "Best Friend" she takes priority!!!
My best friend and I share a love of cats and books. We walk together and share a lot of things together. We are coworkers and I can really depend on her. She is great!

ReplyDeleteMy best friend moved several states away about 7years ago. We only talk on the phone a few times a year, but when we do we pick back up like we've never missed a beat. I wish we lived across the street from each other and could have a cup of tea together.
ReplyDeleteFollowing! It was hard to choose between my two best friends. I married one of them and the other is my dog :)The dog has it. Her name is Hailey and she is my first kid. Hailey is a black lab chow mix and about the most mellow, easy-going "person" you ever did meet. She follows me everywhere, keeping my feet warm when I sew or prep food. I think if she wasn't 80+ pounds she would prefer that I wear her in one of those baby carriers strapped to my chest. She always listens when I talk & gives me looks that tells me she agrees.

Happy B'Day! My bestie takes me as I am, and I accept her just as she is - my sweet younger sister. Our temperaments are very different, but we've always been there for each other, and always will.
ReplyDeleteMy dear friend is like a sister. We cheer for each other and cry for each other. She is my "safe" place as I am hers. I am so blessed to have her in my life. She fell last Thursday morning and broke her ankle! So I will be making sure that I am that extra person to help take care of her when her husband goes to work.

Happy 30th (!) Birthday! Thanks for the opportunity. I'm afraid I don't have a 'best' friend. I'd like to think all my friends are the best. There are some I see more often than others but that is mostly due to geography. My conversation content does differ between friends but for those I might delve into my feelings more, does this make them the 'best'. Not sure........Anyway, have a lovely day!

My BFF was just here over the weekend and I miss her so much already. We only get to see each other a couple of times a year now and it is always so hard living 4 1/2 hrs away from each other.
ReplyDeleteWe met online after we filed our applications to adopt our daughters from China. We found that we have a lot in common and we get along famously. We vacationed together, spent hours on the phone, and shopped for both great fabrics and scrapbooking goodies. We eventually traveled together to bring our baby girls home and as we wished during the 4 years we waited, our girls were in the same orphanage. Our 6th anniversary of meeting is coming in April and I'm hoping to find something extra special to give her to commorate that special day.

I have a couple of close friends that I would consider my "besties". We see each other at least once a week. Our kids all get along - and keep each other amused - while we drink coffee and share our lives. I would be lost without them.

She has beaten the big C twice and has been told it is not if but when it will return but she stays so positive. She is such an inspiration to me.

My best friend is called Lynda the same as me.
We've been friends since we met in primary school aged 4 - over 44 years ago!
Although we live in different parts of the UK now, we still play scrabble on facebook with each other every day and talk once a week on the phone.
My best friend just gets me, no questions asked, no judging, only acceptance!

ReplyDeleteI have had a walking companion for over 30 years. We raised our kids together, went on overnight shopping trips, traveled, hiked and sewed together. I learned so much about charity and always seeing the good in another from her. We don't do as much as we used to but we still walk and talk and are closer than sisters. I would be so lost without her.
